Today, we continue into Week Two by asking you to vote for who should be starting on our blueline in front of goaltender, Dan Bakala and today’s article introduces you to the other eight of the 16 candidates selected by the club.

Tomorrow, we will release more information about all the candidates to help to you make your pick and to make Stars history and voting will begin on Thursday when the first round of voting opens.
Depending on how many candidates make it into the vote, a certain number of defenders will move on into the final vote.
So, lets meet the next eight candidates that were standout shot-blockers and point-getters whilst wearing the Stars jersey.
Candidate 1: Kevin Hart

Summary:
Hart was a key player to the team’s success in his two years in Dundee and his defence-first mentality kept a lot of pucks out of the Stars net.
The American was also a key contributor up front, as he came up with some timely goals and none more so than his two in the 2016/2017 Elite League Playoffs.
Candidate 2: Chris Conaboy

Summary:
The ultimate enforcer. The Glaswegian struck fear in to whoever was unlucky enough to line-up opposite him on every face-off.
Despite his focus on protecting his teammates, Conaboy was also a solid defender who would do anything to stop the puck finding the back of the Dundee net.
Candidate 3: Shawn Boutin

Summary:
Boutin was an experienced Elite League pro who knew how to see out those tight games and would do whatever it took to make sure the team got the win.
The Canadian played a two-way role in the team and was a key leader both on and off the ice.
Candidate 4: Christian Borgatello

Nationality: Italian

Weight: 181 Pounds

Summary:
The small pacey Italian was a great two-way defender and played a major role in helping the Stars secure their 2004/2005 British National League Playoff Championship.
Borgatello came into the team and added a lot of firepower, as he contributed a lot offensively that year.
Candidate 5: Kris Inglis

Summary:
A rising Stars amongst the Dundee defence ranks and the young Scot has made a lot of progression in his four years with the club.
Inglis is now a reliable part of the Stars D-core and has developed into a tough stay at home defenseman.
Candidate 6: Rory Rawlyk

Nationality: Canadian

Summary:
The skilful Canadian had many tricks up his sleeves and as well as being a strong and tough defender, he could always get forward on the rush or often found himself on a breakaway – where he could use his extra long reach to tuck pucks past sprawling keepers.
Rawlyk was a very gifted offensive blueliner and along with his motivation to get forward, he would always be putting his body on the line at the other end.
Candidate 7: Jan Mikel
Seasons Played: 2001/2002 & 2002/2003
Age When Playing for the Stars: 26-28
Birthplace: Brno
Nationality: Czech
Height: 6 Feet 1 Inch
Weight: 231 Pounds

The Czech d-man was a standout player in the club’s first ever season and was equally impressive in his second.
Also, Mikel’s offensive contributions and strong defensive game were a key part to the team’s BNL League and Playoff double in 2001/2002.

Summary:
Quick was a very talented puck-carrying defenseman and he was quick. His speedy bursts down the wing would often be one of the Stars main attacking play creations.
The American was also a key leader in the dressing room as well as on the ice and was considered the heart of that season’s team.
