The Kitmart Dundee Stars and Dundee Ice Arena are delighted to soon welcome our fans back into the DIA. However some adaptations on game night must be implemented, in order to protect everyone in the arena and to meet Scottish Government COVID 19 guidelines

We hope the following information and advice can guide you through these changes.

According to government guidelines, 2000 people are permitted within the building with the option
to ask for a larger capacity, if required.

Please DON’T attend the DIA,

• if you are unwell on the day of the game or have developed a fever or new persistent cough
or lost the ability to smell or taste, without going for a PCR test and have received a negative
result

• if you have tested positive for Covid 19 in the previous 10 days and/or are self isolating

• if you have been a close contact of someone who has Covid 19 and/or are awaiting the
results of a negative PCR test

• If you have visited a red list country in the previous 10 days

DUNDEE ICE ARENA CLEANING

As you enter Dundee Ice Arena you will see the fantastic job the DIA staff have made of cleaning the
DIA.

New enhanced cleaning protocols have been implemented and are rigorously maintained.

Please be considerate and play your part to maintain these high standards, by using the bins
provided and following the advice below.

MASKS

ALL person’s over 12 years old entering the arena, will agree to wear face masks at all times
throughout their visit, with the exception of when they are seated within the arena and if they meet the exemption criteria set out by the Scottish Government. More info HERE!

Mask removal will be entirely optional at your seat. However we would encourage mask wearing at all times.

HAND HYGIENE

Hand wash facilities are available throughout the arena. We encourage fans to use these facilities on
arrival at DIA and frequently throughout your visit.

ENTERING DIA

Doors will open one hour prior to face off. Arrive with plenty time to allow everyone to enter in a
timely and safe manner. Please be mindful of different family households or groups, respecting others space.

At least one person from each group will be encouraged to scan the QR codes around the arena for
Track and Trace Scotland.

We have had to change entry points for different groups. Please be aware of the door you need to
enter and queue in the correct place, as entry will be strictly at the following designated doors;

Season ticket and corporate ticket holders will only enter the building from the back North East car park door, see image above.

E-ticket holders will enter the front door and then queue to the right hand side to enter the arena, after the hand wash station.

Pre-bought Box Office tickets and 10 timers will enter the left front door and make their way directly to the left inner doors.

The Box office will remain open for cash and cards ticket sales, please stay left as you enter the main door.

We highly encourage fans to buy either in person at the DIA Box Office, before and on game day from 10am or online 24 hours per day HERE.

This will allow us to approach Dundee City Council for a larger capacity, if required.

After a review and fan feedback, the pathway behind both benches will be open before and during the game. However this area will be out of bounds for everyone, 5 minutes before the start of the game, until all players are on the ice and 2/3 minutes before the end of each period, except players, staff and officials. See barrier image above.

An exception will only apply in the case of a fire drill or fire alarm.

STANDING AT THE PLEXI GLASS

Limited standing will be allowed around the glass and all fans standing will be asked to still wear their
masks for the entirety of their visit. The only exception to mask wearing is whilst consuming food or
drinks or meeting exemption criteria set out by the Scottish Government.

Stewards may ask you to find a seat, if you block pathways, so please be considerate of
others.

SOTB AND 50/50

SOTB and 50/50 tickets will be sold as before on game night and we encourage you to support these
initiatives as best you can, by bringing along a few coins to purchase these.

We are looking at implementing contactless alternatives and will keep you informed of any changes.

We will continue with our monthly online 50/50 and a new away game SOTB online ticket sales for those who wish to continue in that manner and win some great prizes. The first home SOTB will be Drydn Dow and away SOTB will be Adam Morrison.

SOTB winners, can pick up their jersey at the next game or we can send it out to the winner once the
jersey has been laundered.

Unfortunately, Chuck A Puck will not happen in the short term, as we evaluate the best way to
conduct this enjoyable part of the evening safely.

PLAYER INTERACTION

Unfortunately, we will need to minimise player and fan interaction. The players will not be able to
pose for photos/selfies with fans or sign autographs, Pre or post game. Fans will be asked to leave
the DIA main arena, at the end of each game, to ensure that we keep everyone as safe as possible.

WEE BAR

The wee bar will be reserved exclusively for the Kitmart Dundee Stars players, staff and officials pre,
during and post game.

MASSIVE THANKS

We thank everyone for their understanding and patience, as we restart professional ice hockey in the
city after an 18 month wait.

Following the above guidance will allow us to maintain the safety of everyone at DIA and allow us to
enjoy the sport that we all love!

HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

We hope to slowly re introduce or relax measures as the season progresses and the pandemic
allows.

We very much hope to get back to our ‘normal’ game night experience and allow our players
once again to be fantastic ambassadors for our club the Kitmart Dundee Stars, which is at the heart of
our community.
