Over the course of a month of designing a Dundee Stars tartan, lots of schools in Dundee took part learning about the history of Tartan and how to design a tartan, while also researching the Dundee Stars and what would work best as our first ever club tartan.
Frankie was chosen as the winner from over 1000 entries, by our Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach, Marc LeFebvre and fashion designer, Hayley Scanlan.
At the culmination of our school’s Tartan Design Competition in partnership with V&A Dundee and Hayley Scanlan, Frankie was lucky enough to spend a few hours at the V&A Dundee designing the jersey with Hayley to finalise his design and name our tartan “Shooting Stars”
Once complete, Hayley finalised the layout of these fantastic jerseys and we are very proud to reveal them now.
These jerseys will be worn on Hogmanay at our home game against Belfast Giants and you can own one of these game-worn jerseys by bidding in our online auction.
The auction will start on Monday, 18th December and will run until Tuesday, 2nd January
