The Swedish shot-stopper is in red hot form after denying 63 of the 66 shots he faced last weekend, as the Stars claimed two Challenge Cup victories and Svensson earned a shutout against the Flyers.
Svensson, 33, recorded his first two wins of the season as Dundee blanked local rivals, Fife 3-0 on Saturday night in Kirkcaldy, before snatching a last-minute winner against Glasgow Clan at home on Sunday in a 4-3 victory.
Anton has already produced some highlight reel saves in his first fortnight in Scotland and has impressed greatly with his performances between the pipes so far, with his dominance in one-on-one situations standing out.
Now the Flyers have to face the challenge of finding a way past the Dundee netminder, after failing to score on any of their 22 attempts on Saturday.
Expressing his delight with Svensson’s strong start to the season, Stars Head Coach, Jeff Mason said: “We have been really pleased with Anton’s play and what he has brough to us.
“He has only been here a short while and he has not had a tonne of skates with us as a team, so it is nice to have him in and stabilising us back there.
“I think the more he gets in and gets settled, the stronger he will get and I am looking forward to seeing his play and how our team plays as things progress.
“For me, with the goalies, it is more about the key saves at the key moments that keep the game within reach or keep it out of reach for the other team, and so far he has provided us with that and I am very pleased.”
