Q. How are you enjoying Dundee?
A. I’m enjoying Dundee this year, the city is great and we as players get treated really well here.
Q. How does it compare to other places you lived?
A. This is my 3rd stint in the U.K. and I don’t think I would play anywhere else in Europe. Dundee and the surrounding areas have a lot to offer.
Q. What’s the best part about living in Dundee?
A. The pubs, restaurants and golf courses.
Q. Do you have a second career for when you are not playing hockey?
A. I have a business degree so I will focus my attention to that when I am finished with hockey.
Q. You spent five years at university, how hard is it to balance your studies and hockey?
A. It was a balancing act that I struggled with early on, but I loved my time at school and it taught me a lot about time management.
Q. What is your favourite moment with Dundee so far?
A. We’ve had some memorable wins as a team. Probably shutting out Belfast at home and then backing it up with a win against Cardiff. They both stand out for me.
Q. What/who made you want to play hockey?
A. My 2 older brothers played and everyone in my Neighbourhood as well so I took to it naturally.
Q. What is your pre-game meal and rituals?
A. Chicken and pasta. I don’t really have many pre-game rituals. I usually just stretch and have a coffee.
Q. What’s the weirdest pre-game ritual you’ve seen?
A. I played with a guy who used to throw up before every game. That was pretty gross and obviously unusual.
Q. What do you do to drive yourself to get better every day/season?
A. I like competing, winning and trying to perform the best I can. That’s motivation enough for me.
Q. Who is the best player you have played with?
A. I was goalie partners with Jonathan Bernier in junior. He was fun to watch and learn from.
Q. Who were your hockey role models whilst growing up?
A. Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, Curtis Joseph. The 90’s had a lot of great goalies.
Q. How does the Elite League compare with the other leagues you have played in and how was your time at Edinburgh/Braehead?
A. It’s similar to the leagues I played in back home. The big ice is the biggest difference where guys have more time to make plays and it’s harder to defend. I enjoyed both years playing for those teams.
Q. How do you deal with the long travel journey’s?
A. I just bought a Nintendo switch which is great for long bus rides. That or watch movies.
Q. What was it like to play in the QMJHL, one of Canada’s top prospect leagues?
A. Seems like a century ago I was playing in that league. I enjoyed it though. I played for 2 very good organisations.
Q. This is your third season in Europe, how hard was it for you to adjust to the changes from the North American style of hockey?
A. It’s my third season in this league. I’ve played a lot of hockey in that time so I’m well-adjusted here now.
Q. What NHL team did you grow up supporting?
A. Montreal Canadians.
Q. What is your favourite moment from your career?
A. Winning 3 national championships at the University of New Brunswick. Those were fun times and I was lucky to be a part of them.
Q. Where do you want to be in 10 years?
A. I have no idea. I should probably start thinking about that.
Q. What’s the best thing about the Dundee Stars fans?
A. They’ve supported us through it all this year. We have great fans and it makes playing at home that much better.
