The Kitmart Dundee Stars are delighted to announce over £3000 was raised for Breast Cancer Care Scotland on our inaugural Pink the Rink Night.
Through the bucket collection on game night and our limited edition pink jersey auction, vital funds were raised to support the fight against breast cancer.
Stars commercial manager Elliot Shaw was delighted with the outcome of Pink the Rink commenting, “I would like to give a massive thanks to our fans for the engagement that showed in our first ever Pink the Rink. A significant amount of awareness and funds was raised on the night to help Breast Cancer Care Scotland; a pivotal charity in the fight against the disease. As a community club, it is our ethos to support these vital causes and I am extremely proud of our efforts in Pink the Rink”.
Angela Harris, Head of Breast Cancer Care Scotland, said: ‘We’re so grateful to Dundee Stars for holding Pink the Rink in aid of Breast Cancer Care. The money raised will help Breast Cancer Care to provide free services including support over the phone with a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums, reliable information and local group support.
‘691,000 people are living with a breast cancer diagnosis in the UK today, and that figure is only set to grow. With support from people like Dundee Stars, we can be here for more people, whenever they need us.’
