Stars forward Kelsall said he is “excited” ahead of this year’s Under 20’s World Championships.
The 19-year old received his fifth call-up to the Great Britain national side, Jordan has played twice at Under-18 level and is set to make his third appearance for the Under-20s.
This year’s Under-20s World Junior Championships takes place in Tallinn, Estonia. This January sees GB face Spain, Korea, Lithuania, Romania and hosts Estonia in Division II Group A.
Kelsall, who is on loan from Nottingham Panthers, will miss some Stars games whilst on international duty and in his 20 games for GB, he has scored one goal and assisted on three.
Looking ahead to the World Championships, Jordan said: “I am honoured to play for GB once again, it will be my third year at the 20s.
“I am really excited to just get out there and start the tournament and bring back the gold medal.”
He added: “I think it is the ultimate thing you can do (playing for your country), obviously to be selected for the team was great but also having what I have done before I kind of know what we have to do.
“I have also experienced the highs and lows of a World Championships, it is a really tough tournament.
“So, I feel like we can go there and do well this year with the team they have picked.”
Playing more minutes and a regular shift in Dundee has helped his development and was most likely a factor in his call-up, according to Jordan. He said: “I think playing here regularly is going to help me, especially in the build up for the World Championships.
“Playing at this level every week, I am hoping to take that there and produce in the tournament.
“I think if I keep playing here like I have been doing it is going to help me in good stead for the tournament.”
