Q: How are you enjoying Dundee? A: I am really enjoying it so far.

Q: How does it compare to other places you lived? A: It is not that much different, it just has a lot more old buildings and churches than I’m used to.

Q: What’s the best part about living in Dundee? A: The view of the River Tay from our flat.

Q: Do you have a second career off the ice? A: Hockey is my main priority during the season, but I do work construction in the summer time.

Q: Is there anything you miss about your hometown? A: My friends, family, and a BBQ!

Q: What is your favourite moment with the Stars so far? A: Probably scoring late in the Edinburgh Challenge Cup game to tie it up.

Q: What made you want to play hockey? A: My grampa ran an outdoor rink when I was young.

Q: What is your pre-game meal and rituals? A: Chicken, rice, and vegetables covered in Nando’s perinaise sauce. I always eat 5 hours before game time and usually have a 45 minute nap right after I eat.

Q: What’s the weirdest pre-game ritual you’ve seen? A: Probably myself, I take all my gear off after the warmup.

Q: What do you do to drive yourself to get better every day/season? A: I train really hard in the offseason to be in better shape than the year before.

Q: Who is the best player you have played with? A: Tyler Fiddler – They spent 3 years playing together at the Mount Royal University.

Q: What is it like to play in the North American university leagues and having to manage hockey with your studies? A: It’s very hard to stay on top of your studies while training every day and playing either home or away every weekend.

Q: How does the Elite League compare with other leagues? A: I haven’t played pro hockey before so it’s obviously very different from university hockey, guys here are bigger, stronger, and more skilled.

Q: How do you deal with the long travel journeys? A: I bought a camping air mat and a sleeping bag to deal with the long trips.

Q: What is your favourite arena/city to play away in? A: So far Belfast has been the nicest.

Q: You are favourably known for your physical style of play. Have you always played this way? A: Yes, I’ve always been on the bigger side, so naturally I use that to my advantage.

Q: What NHL team did you grow up supporting? A: Edmonton oilers.

Q: What’s your favourite moment from your career? A: Going to the league finals in my final year of junior with the Dauphin Kings.

Q: Where do you want to be in 10 years? A: If I am not playing in my Dundee Stars testimonial, I plan to run my own construction company.

Q: What’s the best thing about the Dundee Stars fans? A How loud they are and how they are constantly singing. Also there is one fan who always supplies the boys with cheese cake, (Fiona Shaw).
